Andy Garr started Garr Associates in 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1981 the company name was changed from Garr Associates to The Garr Consulting Group. In 1982 the company was acquired by Touche Ross. Touche Ross merged with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in 1992 and adopted the brand name of Deloitte & Touche. The Garr Consulting Group was merged into the D & T Consulting practice in 1997.
In 1999, The Garr Consulting Group was acquired by Frank Bolick and re-established as an independent Supply Chain Consulting firm. The firm is now an international supply chain consulting firm serving clients in the direct-to-consumer, retail, wholesale, distributor and consumer goods industries.
